You ever take a bite of something and instantly hear a choir of angels? This ain’t that. It’s better. Because angels don’t make mac and cheese with Smokin’ Ts, but you do. And you should. And you will.
This is comfort food that’s been to the gym, quit its day job, and started a food truck. We’re talking creamy, cheesy goodness with just enough smoke to make you question every boxed mac you’ve ever loved.
🧀 What You’ll Need:
- 8 oz elbow macaroni (or whatever shape feels emotionally right)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk (whole milk = maximum comfort)
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/2 cup Smokin’ Ts (go with “With a Kick” if you’re feeling spicy)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional: Panko breadcrumbs + butter for topping
🔥 How to Make It:
- Cook your pasta like a responsible adult. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour until it smells like you know what you’re doing.
- Slowly add milk, whisking until smooth and thick enough to coat a spoon like it’s in a Hallmark commercial.
- Stir in shredded cheese and Smokin’ Ts. Taste. Dance a little.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Stir like you mean it.
- Pour into a greased baking dish. Top with buttery panko if you want crunch.
- Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes, until bubbling and slightly browned on top.
- Let it rest or dive in and accept the mouth burn as part of the journey.
😋 Serving Suggestion:
Serve it solo, or as a killer side with ribs, fried chicken, or anything that doesn’t run away.
